Watched Anant Mahadevan's short documentary ' STATE OF THE ART" at Global Film Festival today. The film was based on the Bullfights happen in Spain...
But internally it depicted the hypocrisies and complexities of human mind...
On one side,
we love dogs, we care for them..
Same people,
in those big amphitheatre,
cheer for the blood spilling out of the bull...
Why this dual behaviour...??
The documentary also shows the irony of art and art structures which we enjoy, drawing parallels between Flamingo dance and the desperate moves of the bull.....
And we think we show our manliness and bravery by these acts...
But inside...
We are the biggest cowards...
We are showing that by those atrocities to the helpless animals....
And it is not only the bullfights in Spain..
There are many parallels one can draw between this and several inhuman customs and rituals we follow and being at the same time we act like civilised, sensitive modern man...
HYPOCRITES,...
THY NAME IS HUMANITY....
