THAT WAS A GREAT WALK.....

A GREAT WALK...
........................

That was a great walk, Indeed..
Walk by those who were underprivileged...
Walk by those who were voiceless...

Walk by those who were sidelined...
Walk by those who we see in the sideways of the road, where our four wheelers claimed to be theirs....

They were the ones who protected the forests...
Who took care of the greenness..
They were the Gods....
Who gave us rain...gave us water....and gave us air...

Still we forgot them...
We started destroying their livelihoods....
We mined out all those pristine greenness..
We thrashed all those biological richness...
We were blind of Development...
We were blind of fat packed paychecks..
We were blind of fictitious stocks...
We were blind of luxuries of life...

But they on the other side,
Starved...
Cried..
Died...
....

But One day...
One day, they took over the road...
They asked for what was rightly theirs ...
And they started walking...

They walked in the sunlight..
They walked in the moonlight..

In the way,
Some of them collapsed..
Some of them might not have stood again...
Still they walked....
Walked for what is right...

And in front of them,
there was that man...
Walking swiftly...
Walking confidently....

He knew for sure that.....
He was in a fight...
Not a holy fight where heaven is assured for him...
But fight for the ones,
who lived in the hell called earth...
And to bring heaven for them..

He became the voice for the voiceless...
And that voice became the great shout..
And finally shook the great walls of Delhi..

And in the end of the walk...
They had won...
They had won their rights...
They had won their lives..and their livelihoods...

That was a great walk, Indeed..
And in the end they walked back with dignity......
